Welcome to Sila Evason Hideaway & Spa at Samui

Sila Evason Hideaway Samui is located on a headland on the northern tip of Samui Island, approximately six kilometres from the airport. It is set amongst 20 acres of indigenous plantings and offers stunning views of the surrounding sea and outlying islands.

All villas are located amongst natural vegetation around a gently sloping headland, which ensures maximum privacy while offering unsurpassed panoramas.

All villas are split level and have an open-style bathroom, which creates an atmosphere of space and light in the room, and also maintains views of the surrounding seas and islands from almost every location in the villa.

Infinity edge private swimming pools in most of the villas blend into the horizon and help maintain a feeling of seclusion even though all of the resort’s facilities are close at hand and augmented by Pool Villa Butlers.

Sila Evason Hideaway is managed by Six Senses Resorts & Spas who also manage the Evason Phuket Resort & Spa, and Evason Hua Hin Resort & Spa in Thailand, plus Ana Mandara Resort in Nah Trang - Vietnam. In the Maldives they operate Soneva Fushi Resort & Spa, and Soneva Gili Resort & Spa. The Six Senses team has positioned Sila Evason Hideaway to reflect the same standards of excellence that are recognised in these other fine resorts.

The resort has 66 uniquely designed villas, most with private infinity-edge swimming pools. All are two storey with a sundeck and most with swimming pool on the lower level.

The Sila Evason Hideaway & Spa is rapidly creating a reputation of not just being a fantastic resort, but for serving up some of the best food available on Koh Samui. With our own herb gardens we are using the freshest herbs, vegetables in and organic greens wherever possible, ensuring that our diners receive the finest of ingredients.

Dining on the Hill

Located on the sunset side of the resort, Dining on the Hill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast is a vast selection, spread over several buffet stations and includes freshly prepared and cooked to order hot specialties, freshly made juices, waffles, pancakes and Asian delicacies.

Lunch is focused on the Evason Balanced Cuisine approach with an emphasis on taste. In the evenings be prepared for the best 'Thai' Thai food on the island as we pride ourselves on preparing Thai favourites the way they should be.

The restaurant includes three different styles of seating, regular tables, Daybed Niches and Benches, or Thai style on comfortable cushions set on decking in our pond.

Dining on the Hill is also the venue for our weekly themed evenings, including a Thai experience evening of freshly prepared salad, desserts and live cooking station of wok cooked dishes complete with a traditional Thai dancing show. Our famous BBQ seafood night with mouth-watering fresh local Samui seafood cooked either in Thai style, or simply barbequed on the grill, is also very popular.

Dining on the Rocks

The Signature restaurant of Sila Evason Hideaway, Dining on the Rocks, is setting new standards for innovative food concepts, great service and of course that famous view and atmosphere. The cuisine is distinctively different and we refer to it as New Asian Cuisine with a cross over accent.

Our philosophy is in combining tastes of east and west, different textures and contrasts of hot and cold to really give your mouth a treat that will have it crying out for more.

The architecture is unique and consists of nine terraced decks of weathered teak and bamboo combining open air and covered seating areas. The view is an uninterrupted 270 degree views of the surrounding islands and Gulf of Siam.

Our In Villa Dining experience is available 24 hours, serving a variety of home cooked style dishes as well as light snacks.

Looking for a nice bottle of wine to accompany your lunch or dinner? Have a wander into Wines on the Hill. Our wine cellar boasts the largest selection in Koh Samui with around 300 different labels available, ranging from Bordeaux classics such as Chateau Palmer and Chateau Mouton Rothschild, to New World favourites such as Cloudy Bay from New Zealand and Cape Mentelle from Australia.

You can also try a few wines you may not have seen before as we also stock wines from South Africa, Spain, Italy, Germany, Chile, Argentina, United States of America and Mexico to name a few

Koh Samui is midway between Bangkok and Phuket, inside the Gulf of Thailand. The island is just 21k wide and 25k long and has frequent air services from Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Hong Kong and Singapore. The massive seated Buddha image known as ‘Big Buddha’ is just five minutes from the resort. The airport is a 10-minute drive.
